The Complete Indasa Finishing Process
A flawless finish isn't one product — it's a system. Indasa is built as a fully integrated surface-finishing range, where each line hands off cleanly to the next: strip and shape, refine, pre-polish, then compound to a mirror gloss. Follow the stages below to build the right kit and skip the guesswork.
Stage 1 — Strip & Shape (40–80 grit)
Heavy stock removal: leveling filler, stripping old coatings, shaping panels. Reach for the most aggressive grits on a tough backing.
- Discs: Red Line grip & PSA discs (premium, longest life) or White Line for everyday value
- Boards & strips: long-board rolls and file-board strips for straight-line leveling
- Metal: Rhynofibre fiber discs and Rhyno Flap discs for grinding and weld dressing
Stage 2 — Refine (120–320 grit)
Shape filler, prep primer, and lay a uniform scratch pattern for topcoat. This is where most body-shop prep time is spent.
- Discs: Red Line / White Line / Plus Line vacuum discs in 120–320
- Dust-free: HT Line ceramic and Mesh Line for fast, cool, clog-free cutting
- Hand work: sanding blocks, foam hand pads and Rhyno Sponge pads for edges and contours
Stage 3 — Pre-Polish (400–3000 grit)
De-nib, color-sand, and erase orange peel before buffing. Film-backed and foam abrasives give the most uniform scratch for an easy polish.
- Film Line: Rhynogrip Film Line discs (240–1500) for ultra-uniform finishing
- Wet & dry: Rhynowet sheets up to 2500 grit for color sanding
- Foam: Rhynocell (3000) and Rhynofinish foam discs as the final pre-polish step
Stage 4 — Compound & Finish
Cut and refine to a deep, swirl-free gloss with the Autogloss system.
- Cut: Autogloss Compound Plus with the white foam cutting mop
- Gloss: Autogloss High-Gloss Plus with the black foam finishing mop
Don't forget the platform
Great abrasives need the right tool and a clean panel:
- Backup pads: match the hole pattern and grip/PSA backing — shop Grip Backup Pads and PSA Backup Pads
- Sanders & extraction: pneumatic and electric DA sanders plus Dust Extraction for a cleaner, faster shop
